copywriter, editor, content strategist & storyteller

you can call me kels
Since starting my freelance practice in January 2022, I’ve had the privilege of supporting some of Canada's leading retailers and a few truly special small businesses. Whether I'm story-telling for an up-and-comer or a household brand name, one rule applies: authenticity is magnetic.
From campaign concepts to subject lines—a distinct and relatable voice is the most recognizable and attracting element of your brand experience.
As an Indigenous woman from Ts’il Kaz Koh Nation with my Bachelors of Environment, my devotion to stories, nature and holistic wellbeing are both inherent and intentional. I specialize in health and wellness—but welcome any opportunity to tell a good story.
When I’m not clacking away at a keyboard, you can most likely find me exercising my green thumbs in my garden, beading, or with my nose in a book—and a cat on my lap.
what i've been up to

From product packaging, big social moments and campaign concepts, all they way down to every asset required to tell that story, my relationship with Saje is where my passion for health and wellness—for helping people feel their very best—blossomed into my personal mission as a writer.
In 2024, Yogi is transitioning from exclusively B2B to DTC; it’s a total overhaul of every touchpoint they’ve built out in 50 years of business: packaging, PDPs, ingredient libraries—and new brand campaigns.
The brief: scrub the entire website for regulatory compliance—and do it with nods to culture references and humor.
